Die Unternehmensgruppe CAME bietet Automatisierungssysteme für die Eingänge von Wohn- und Geschäftsräumen sowie Parkplätzen und Zugangskontrollpunkten an. Mit Geschäftsstellen in 118 Ländern ist CAME auf ein globales Netzwerk angewiesen, das seine Mitarbeiter, Kunden und Partner verbindet. So ergab sich auch die einzigartige Herausforderung, eine Netzwerkarchitektur zu erstellen, die sowohl sicheren Netzwerkzugriff als auch geschützte Endpunkte gewährleistet. CAME sah sich sogar regelmäßig mit zielgerichteten Attacken durch ausgefuchste Exploits am Endpunkt konfrontiert. Viele dieser Angriffe waren nahezu unmöglich zu erkennen.

„Es stellt eine große Herausforderung dar, einen Endpunkt konsistent zu schützen, wenn ein Nutzer von dort aus arbeitet", erklärt Massimiliano Tesser, CIO der Unternehmensgruppe CAME. „Wir suchten nach einer Lösung, die uns die komplette Ausführungssteuerung aller Computer im Unternehmen zugänglich macht. Zudem sollte genügend Transparenz vorhanden sein, sodass wir erkennen können, wo und wann Angriffe stattfinden und außerdem eine Bestätigung erhalten, dass diese erfolgreich abgewehrt wurden."

CAME hat Lösungen von Trend Micro und dem McAfee-Sortiment von Intel Security erwogen, sich jedoch letztendlich für die [Traps™ Advanced Endpoint Protection von Palo Alto Networks](https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/products/secure-the-endpoint/traps) entschieden, um seine bestehende Sicherheitsplattform und -technologien von Palo Alto Networks damit zu ergänzen.
