Ethics and Compliance

Speak Up

We believe that acting with ethics and integrity is everyone's responsibility. We want to hear from you if you believe someone has done something wrong or has violated our policies, procedures or the law.

You can share your concerns with us in confidence (anonymously, if you prefer). We strictly prohibit retaliation against good-faith reporters.

Employees, investors, suppliers and customers can file an ethics concern through Vault Open Reporting. Through this reporting tool, we can effectively uncover and prevent misconduct. It also allows people to make a report anonymously.

Ethics Reporting FAQs

If you see or hear something that doesn’t seem right, please let us know. A qualified professional at Palo Alto Networks (herein “PANW” or “the Company”) will help address your concerns and answer your questions.

At PANW, you have many options for reporting a concern and receiving guidance on our compliance policies and procedures. If you have any questions not answered here, contact us directly at ethics@paloaltonetworks.com.

If you see or hear something you believe isn’t right, may violate a law or contradicts the PANW Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (or any other Company policy or procedure), report it to our Global Ethics Team (GET). If you’re a manager and learn of an ethics concern from a member of your team, ask them for details. If you’re unsure how to address it, report it to GET. Never investigate the issue yourself. Our professionally trained investigators will do that for you.

Some common issues to report include workplace harassment, discrimination, fraud, bribery, kickbacks, conflicts of interest, fair competition and business dealings, loss or theft of confidential information, improper business courtesies, fraudulent expenses or theft of Company assets and many others. If you’re uncertain what our Code, policies and procedures require, first speak to your manager if you’re comfortable doing so. However, if you don’t receive an answer or remain unsure, come to us (ethics@paloaltonetworks.com) and we’ll help you resolve your concern and ensure compliance.

We understand that sometimes you may be unsure about what’s required or want to provide feedback about our ethics program. We’re here to help. Don’t hesitate to contact us via the Helpline or directly via ethics@paloaltonetworks.com. We’ll make sure you get answers to questions about our ethics policies, procedures, guidelines, controls and processes. Likewise, we appreciate all good-faith feedback on how we can improve our valued culture of ethics and integrity.

You can report your concern or have your question answered through either the Vault website or toll-free by phone. You’ll be asked for details of the concerns/improper conduct, the names of individuals involved and any supporting documents you may have. You can also reach out to us directly at ethics@paloaltonetworks.com. All reporting options offer you the option of remaining anonymous if you wish.

Include all material information relating to your concern that you believe will help us address it quickly and effectively. To the extent you know, please include:

  • What you believe is wrong.
  • Who is involved.
  • Who knows about the issue.
  • Who may provide helpful information.
  • When you first learned of the issue.
  • How long you believe it's been going on.
  • Where it’s taking place.
  • Why you believe someone is engaging in this conduct.
  • Any documents you believe may be relevant.
  • Where you believe investigators can look for relevant information.
