Cortex Data Lake, Cortex XDR and WildFire to offer an Australian cloud option to help customers with their data location needs
Sydney, 13 January 2021 – Palo Alto Networks (NYSE: PANW), the global cybersecurity leader, today unveiled its new Australian cloud location dedicated to serving local and regional customers.
The new cloud location will enable Australia-based and other regional organisations the benefit of direct, high-performance access to Palo Alto Networks CortexTM Data Lake, Cortex XDRTM, and WildFire®, while allowing storage of their logs within Australia’s borders.
Cortex XDR: Available now, customers can take advantage of the industry’s first extended detection and response platform, which integrates endpoint, network and cloud data to stop sophisticated attacks.
Cortex Data Lake: Available now, customers can collect, transform and integrate their enterprise's security data to enable Palo Alto Networks solutions.
WildFire: In the near future, Australian customers will be able to fully utilise a cloud-based threat analysis and prevention engine, while ensuring that files submitted for analysis stay in the chosen region, to address data location concerns. While submissions stay in the region, Australian customers still benefit from the global security intelligence and updates based on the network effect of Palo Alto Networks 30,000+ WildFire customers.
“Investing in local cloud infrastructure is part of Palo Alto Networks continued commitment to customers around the world, wherever their data resides. Australia was chosen because of its mature cloud market and reliable infrastructure”, said Steve Manley, regional vice president, Australia and New Zealand for Palo Alto Networks. "Our customers rely on Palo Alto Networks for a comprehensive security platform to protect their cloud workloads, and Cortex XDR, Cortex Data Lake, and WildFire Cloud will ensure our customers remain secure in their digital transformation process” Manley added.
These new locally hosted services are part of Palo Alto Networks ongoing commitment to deliver the broadest and most comprehensive security solutions to Australian customers, having already invested in local instances for its Prisma Cloud and Prisma Access solutions. Working in tandem, customers will now have access to a seamless, streamlined security solution operated and delivered within the local Australian region.
